Problem
In my CorporateTube Administration, I cannot find and select a specific channel for the navigation, Home Page, and/or in the channel list.
OR
In my Webcast Manager, I cannot find a specific channel on your Webcast Manager, when selecting a pre-live, post-live, or on-demand video.
Solution
The connection of the content between a CorporateTube/Webcast and a connected VideoManager Pro is guaranteed by a special user in your VideoManager Pro account. These users are known as "technical users". The technical user determines which videos and channels from VideoManager Pro can be shown in the CorporateTube/Webcast Manager. If the technical user does not have access to a particular channel, you cannot select it in the CorporateTube Administration/Webcast Manager.
- Step 1: Check the ownership group of the channel you cannot find
- Log in to your VideoManager Pro.
- Go to the Administration area.
- Click on the right menu "Channel Access"
- On the central menu, click on the channel you cannot find in the Webcast Manager.
- Step 2: Check if the Technical User belongs to the group you have just found
1. Remain in the Administration area, from the left menu click on "Users"
2. Search for the corresponding technical user:
- OPTION 1- CorporateTube: the CorporateTube technical user's email address has this pattern {16 digit numbers and letters}-technicaluser@corporate.tube (e.g. 5CdecyMDeWNMUB2t-technicaluser@corporate.tube).
NOTE Normally the technical for CorporateTube user is renamed as "CorporateTube" or "CorporateTube technical user".
- OPTION 2 - Webcast Manager: the Webcast technical user's email address has this pattern: {16 digit numbers and letters}-technicaluser@movingimage.support (e.g. SyOBMSriaBdpT54o-technicaluser@movingimage.support).
NOTE Normally the technical user for Webcast is renamed as "CorporateTube" or "CorporateTube technical user".
3. Select the technical user you have just found.
4. On the bottom part of the right section, check if the technical user belongs to the ownership group of the channel you have found in step one and if the role the technical user has in the group includes the corresponding rights (view videos/channels).
5. If the technical user does not belong to the group, you have two options: 1) You can add the technical user to the group (to get more info, click here) or 2) You can assign the video you wanted to be accessible from Webcast or CorporateTube to one group, to which the technical user belongs (to get more info, click here).
