Problem
In the channel navigation of our CorporateTube, I do not see a particular video.
However, I see the video in the corresponding channel of our VideoManager Pro account.
When I click on this particular video, I get the following error message:
"The video you requested cannot be found - The URL may be misspelled or the content you're looking for is no longer available"
Solution
Check if the technical user can access that video in your VideoManager Pro account
- Step 1: Check the release status and ownership group of the video that could not be found in the channel navigation
- Log in to your VideoManager Pro account.
- On the left menu, search for the channel that contains the video and select it.
- On the center area, double check if the video you expected to find in CorporateTube is still there.
- Select the video.
- On the right side panel, select the "security" accordion.
- Check if the video is released. If it is not, you may want to release it. This ensures that the video is accessible in your CorporateTube account.
- Check the ownership group of the video.
- Step 2: Check if the Technical User belongs to the group you have just found
- Go to the administration area, from the left menu click on "Users".
- In the center menu, select the technical user.
- Search for a user: Normally the technical user is renamed as "CorporateTube" or "CorporateTube technical user")
NOTE
In your account you may have a webcast technical user with this pattern {16 digit numbers and letters}-technicaluser@corporate.tube - Select the technical user you have just found.
- On the bottom part of the right sidebar menu, check if
- the technical user belongs to the ownership group of the channel you have found in step one
- the role the technical user has in the group includes the corresponding rights (view videos/channels). 6. If the technical user does not belong to the group to which the video is assigned, you cannot show that video in the CorporateTube.
