If you have made some changes to a video that is already embedded in a website, you can just replace it with the new version. The videoId will not change, so you do not need to update any websites where the video might be embedded.

Why was the replacement of a video interrupted?

Answer

Video replacements are interrupted whenever the upload of a replacement video is interrupted. Examples include closing the VMPro tab or the loss of connectivity.

You can restore the previous version of the video by clicking on the arrow on the top right-hand side of the video item. After restoring the video, the original video formats are displayed. Now you can start the replacement again.

If I replace a video, which information will be maintained in the new video?

The videoId, all existing metadata (including thumbnail, chapters, and overlays), subtitles files, publication status (If the original video was published, the new video will be available in its place as soon as copying is completed) and plays and views will be maintained.

No, the replacement with an audio file is not currently supported; it's neither possible to replace a video with an audio file nor to replace an audio file itself with another audio file.
