What are ownership groups?
A group represents an organizational entity. It can be a department or a subsidiary company, for example. Every video and every channel in your account belongs to a group. Typically, only members of this group can access the corresponding channels and videos.
How can I check and/or change the ownership group of a video?
1. Select the video in the video list.
2. On the right area, click on "Security" accordion.
3. The group will be shown in a dropdown menu. If you have the rights to change the ownership group, click on the text field and select a group to which you wish to assign the video. If you do not have the rights, the drop-down menu will be greyed out for your user.
If I upload a video, which ownership group it will be assigned to by default?
If you upload a video from a specific channel, the video will be automatically assigned to the ownership group of the channel. Note that on the left navigation menu of your VideoManager Pro, you can see in which channel you are in.
Otherwise, when you click on "upload" button from "all videos", the video will be assigned to the main group of your account. By default, this would be "Unternehmen" or "Company".
