In general the player automatically calculates the available bandwidth on the user's side and selects the best possible quality for playback to prevent buffering. Users can also manually select a different quality in the player if needed.
There are several reasons why a video might appear blurry during playback:
- The video was uploaded in low quality, so the player cannot switch to higher quality even if bandwidth allows it
- Limited bandwidth on the user's side causes the player to automatically select lower quality to prevent buffering
- The user manually selected a low quality setting
