Problem
The download link does not work.
Option 1: Whenever I call the URL in a browser, I get an empty file and an error in the download bar "failed network error".
Solution to Option 1
Check if the video is released for download:
- Log in to your VideoManager Pro account.
- Search for the desired video.
- Select the video.
- Open the "Security" accordion.
- Check if the download option for that video has been enabled.
If this is not toggled, the video cannot be downloaded.
You can change this setting by toggling the download release switch.
Option 2: When I call the URL in a browser, I get an "An error occurred while processing your request." error message with a reference number.
Solution to Option 2
Here, the video quite likely has dynamic URL protection. This means that the download URLs are valid only for a restricted period of time. By default, this protection is enabled for all VideoManager Pro accounts.
A possible workaround is to recreate the download URL again (click here to know how to create a download link), send the URL to a user, and tell them to download the file immediately.
