- Be a host of the event
In most cases, it is useful to add more co-hosts to one event to manage an event. So, you requested and obtained a coupon from us, you are automatically a host of the event, but you need that more users are set as hosts. Hosts have access to the cockpit and they can prepare and manage an event, having all possible rights. Speakers have access to the backstage. Host rights include all rights, including all rights that speakers have.
You have two options to do this:
- You can set as co-host/speaker any attendee (excluding guests) that are already in the event
- You can invite a new attendee into the event with a specific role
Step-by-step guide on how to set an attendee that already entered an event as a host:
1 - Ask your future co-host to log in with their e-mail address (they should not log in as guests).
2 - From the left navigation bar of the event, select attendees.
3 - Right-click on the attendee's name.
4 - Select "Set as Host" or "Set as Speaker".
5 - The new role will be immediately visible on the attendee's entry and a pop-up confirmation notification will appear for a few seconds on the left bottom of your screen.
Step-by-step guide on how to add a user to the event with the host/speaker role from the Cockpit:
1 - Log in to the cockpit of the event.
2 - From the left navigation bar, select "Access Control".
3 - Make "Guest List" option active.
4 - Click on "+ New Guest" button.
5 - A window will pop up. Select the role you want to assign them, and click on "Add guest" button.
6 - Ask your future cohost/speaker to register with the e-mail address you have added.
